The Tour de France will pass Shannon Court at high noon on Sunday 6th July

As everybody is no doubt aware the first stage of the Tour de France for 2014 ends in Harrogate on the afternoon of Saturday 5th July. Perhaps less well known is that the second stage from York to Sheffield also hurtles through Harrogate on Sunday 6th July. The detailed routes and timings have now been published and I've posted the links below, but the highlghts are:-

Race leaves York at 11:00

Race passes through Harrogate betwnn 12:01 and 12:05 (estimated times)

Race crosses the finishing line in Sheffield at between 16:14 and 16:46

The race will enter Harrogate from Knaresborough up Knaresborough Road, turn right at the Empress Roundabout down Skipton Road, and will stay on the A59 towards and through Blubberhouses.

Remember the publicity caravan will be about 2 hours ahead of the race, so get to your vantage point early, and come and have a breakfast or drink at Shannon Court, which will be open for out sales from early on the morning of Sunday 6th July.
